Adult Class – Sacred Seeing: Visio Divina as a Spiritual Practice

For centuries, generations of people have been visually meditating on multi-sensory images and icons to draw themselves deeper into sense-wisdom and meaning-making. Geometric mandalas, religious icons, stained glass windows, and beauty found in the natural world are examples of ways faith communities have found inspiration for spiritual enrichment and deep contemplation. In this class, come explore the ancient spiritual practice of Visio Divina or “Sacred Seeing.” Together we will use visual elements to enter a loving space of contemplation and reflection to connect deeper to ourselves and to the wider world around us.
Registration is not required for this class.

We Are Closing the Gap at UUCP!
Last week, we asked everyone to help us close the $65,000 gap between our 2023-24 stewardship pledging goal and the amount already pledged. As of Wednesday, June 21, over 50 congregation members and friends have generously stepped up, shrinking our $65,000 shortfall to just over $39,500. With your help, we can make it all the way to our goal and fully support our programming and staff in the coming year.

If you have already donated, we deeply appreciate your support. If not, please consider joining those who have stepped up. Even 50 cents a day can make a difference. Here’s a breakdown:
$15/month = $3.75/week = only .50/day
$15/month x 12 months = $180/year
200 pledging units x $180 per year ($15/month) = $36,000By Monday, June 26, please send an email to:
closethegap@phoenixuu.orgIn that email, state your name and what you would like to add to your current pledge. We will do all the tech work within the system. If you have auto payments through your bank, you will need to adjust those, after you have notified us through email.
