COVID-19 Impact on This Program

The UMOM campus has temporarily suspended volunteer activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will inform all volunteers for whom we have contact information when the program resumes.

What is UMOM?

UMOM works to restore hope and rebuild lives by providing shelter, services and affordable housing to people experiencing homelessness. Since 1964, their mission has been to prevent and end homelessness with innovative strategies and housing solutions that meet the unique needs of each family and individual.

How Does UUCP Help?

The first Sunday of each month, five UUCP members show up at the UMOM New Day Center in Phoenix and assist in setup, serving, and bussing tables for the evening meal. Each month, we contact our group of volunteers to see who is available and would like to participate in the following month. The first five people to respond are the ones to serve.
