UUCP’s service on Sunday, May 8, will feature the rhythmic improvisation of tabla player Shreyas Iyer. Shreyas grew up in India and fell in love as a young child with the tabla, the twin hand drums of Hindustani classical music. He now performs on tabla and runs the Dhaa School of Music, teaching the tabla’s rich history of rhythmic patterns, melodies, and compositions.
