Words can be “difficult” because they have associations or connotations that we find troubling, perhaps because they were important in religious traditions that we don’t (no longer) follow. We will invite people to suggest words in advance (e.g., worship, church, spiritual, prayer, faith, …). We will work on understanding why they are problematic to some of us (not all) and also see if we can reimagine their meaning in order to reclaim some value for us. We do not want to be stuck in “what I don’t believe” but move to “what I do believe,” listen to different interpretations, and learn from each other. Have a look at our descriptive video.
