    Our Garden Still Needs Tending!

Stewardship update as of April 3:

Thanks to a strong push in the last week, we have come close to our goal for the 2024-2025 Pledge Campaign. We now have 136 pledges for a total of $437,681.20. I am truly moved by the collective generosity of our community.

Thank you to all who have made their pledge! However, we still have more to go to meet our goal of $610,000. The good news is, if you haven’t already pledged, you still can! Please make your pledge and be counted. You can hit the blue “Make Your Pledge” button, and tell us what your commitment will be for the 2024-2025 Congregational Year.

It is important that we all pledge, so the congregation can budget and plan for the upcoming year. If you do not believe you will be able to make a monetary contribution this year, please go in and make a pledge for $0, so we know. If you need assistance with making your pledge, please let us know by sending us an email to stewardship@phoenixuu.org.

Please know, regardless of your pledge, we are grateful that you are a part of the UUCP community.

  • April Navigators Update

    April Navigators Update

Our Navigators group has been meeting on Sundays this year and it has been going phenomenally well. Our classes have been working on social justice and outdoor learning. In January, our group learned about accessibility in the outdoors and practiced safe hiking practices. Also our group also learned how to use different types of identification books for both native plants and animals. In February, classes focused on Black History Month. March was a combination of Women’s History Month and plant identification.

The Navigators group will continue to learn about nature and how it naturally overlaps with social justice issues on Sundays after service. While weather permits, we use our amazing outdoor learning area behind the annex’s and explore our hiking trail as well. We will be taking a break for Sunday, April 7 but will be back in session on April 14. We look forward to seeing you!

    Notes From Your Dance Partner

This week in my column, I just want to tell you how much I care for and appreciate you all.

I think in the day-to-day operations of the congregation, the worship services that come and go, and the tough times in our lives, we don’t stop and smell the flowers and have gratitude for everything in our lives. Well, I’m here to tell you that I appreciate you–as individuals and as a community. I am grateful for each of you who were here long before I was here and built this beautiful community and I am grateful for those of you who I have gotten to know while I have been your minister. I am grateful for those of you who volunteer and give of your time, experience and spirit to making this community stronger and kinder. I am grateful for your vulnerabilities, your stories that we share with each other and getting to be with you as you celebrate the highlight moments of your life and when you share your toughest.

Basically, it is a huge privilege and honor to get to be your minister, and I’m so grateful for you. I just wanted you to know that.

Stewardship update as of March 26:

Hello Dear UUCP Members and Friends! As we enter the final week of our 2024-2025 Stewardship Campaign, we want to thank everyone who has already donated, and ask those of you who haven’t yet to take a moment to join in supporting your congregation. It’s simple: click the first button above to make your pledge, and then click the other to set up your payment. If you need or want help, just contact us at stewardship@phoenixuu.org.

If you are unable to make a financial commitment this year, please let us know, so we don’t have to keep bothering you. If you plan to make your pledge a little late, please let us know that too. If you’re unsure whether you’ve already made your pledge for this year, let us know, and we’ll help you figure it out.

It takes all of our continued generosity to keep our congregation running. Please know that I am grateful for all you have done and continue to do for our community.
