The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix strives to be a spiritual community for our time, focused on diverse theological perspectives, radical inclusion, and knowing that issues of justice and equity shape everything we do.

With a special awareness for those who have been historically marginalized, we welcome all, of every race, class, ethnicity, immigration status, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious background, mental and physical ability and disability. We welcome your whole self, your family into our worship as we build a community of caring, courage, and hope.

We are passionate about anti-racism, anti-oppression, equality, and justice work. Social justice is not just a component of our ministry; it is embedded into every part of us. We strive for a multicultural anti-oppression presence in every aspect of what we do, including worship, outreach, and even committee work.

Our Community Has Dug in and Created Sooo Much Good Trouble

UU the Vote logo, UUCP phoenix logo, "Make Good Trouble with UUCP!" on a gold background

As of October 31, as a Congregation, UUCP has:

  • Knocked on 321 doors and had 92 conversations with potential voters!
  • Made 626 Phone calls, and had 85 conversations with potential voters!
  • Written 4,125 letters and/or postcards to potential voters!
  • Collected 925 signatures for Ballot Initiatives!
  • Sent 27,765 texts to Get Out the Vote!
  • Volunteered for 2 hours to protect the rights of voters in our state!

We just need 2 Good Trouble makers to work, observe, or monitor the polls on election day to hit our goal. Have you signed up for training and/or a shift on or before election day? Be sure to let us know at goodtrouble@phoenixuu.org, after you complete your shift.

There’s still lots of ways to UU the Vote:
You can get out and canvass, text, or phonebank for your favorite party, candidate or civic organization. If you need suggestions, email us at goodtrouble@phoenixuu.org for a list of non-partisan links, and be sure to report these activities. Together, we ARE making a difference. We are less than a week out from the election. Let’s keep up the momentum!
