Beginning May 1, Children’s Ministry will return to offering in-person activities on Sundays! After Together Time during Service, children and youth of all ages will leave the sanctuary together and head to a shaded outdoor area. Our staff and volunteers are excited to provide space for UUCP’s children and youth to connect with friends old and new, and bond over UU-centered themes of art, discovery, and play.
What do families need to know?
For Children’s Ministry activities, masks must be worn by all ages in all spaces, indoors and outdoors. Child-size KF94 masks are available on campus, but we do recommend children and youth come in their own masks to ensure best fit. We also recommend children bring a water bottle to stay hydrated outdoors. Sign-in will be required—save time on Sunday by registering ahead online.
Here’s a preview of what we have planned each week:
May 1: Identity Chalice
Create an “Identity Chalice” artwork that shows how you connect with Unitarian Universalism and then share parts of your identity with your friends.
May 8: Celebrate the People You Love!
We will be celebrating families and the people we love by creating artwork and making cards.
May 15: CoA & Graduation Celebration
This will be a Service where all ages will remain inside the Sanctuary, as we celebrate our Coming of Age program graduates! We will have an activity space available to all ages.
May 22: International Biodiversity Sunday
Join us as we expand our knowledge on the richness of the animal and plant diversity around us!
May 29: Deep Fun Games!
Games and fun are synonymous with UUism! Come play and get silly with us on our last day of programming!
