For most of our worship services beginning in the spring of 2020, we have video recordings of the full worship service and of just the sermon available for you to watch.

Sacred & Nonbinary

Led by: Rev. Sky Williams-Tao
Worship Associate: Mary McManus
Music: Benjie Messer

Our genders are intertwined with our cultural, sacred, and religious selves. From a non-binary perspective, from Rev. Sky’s perspective, what spiritual lessons exist in the lifelong journey of gender?

Level Up

Led by: Rev. Christine Dance
Worship Associate: Amy McKlindon
Music: UUCP Choir

There is no doubt that we are at a liminal time in our congregation. The pandemic changed some core things about how we function and made us take some huge steps in building and supporting community. So what now? We will do a little dreaming, a little planning and a lot of loving as we envision our future together.

What Can Islam Teach Us About Hope and Liberation?

Led by: Rev. Christine Dance
Worship Associate: Jon Palumbo
Music: UUCP Choir

Islam is a beautiful, rich religion that is practiced by almost 25% of people on Earth. We will look at Islam from a liberation lens and see how it can bring us hope in these challenging times.

Bless Our Pets

Led by: Rev. Christine Dance
Worship Associate: Carrie Lifshitz
Music: Hot Beignets

Bring your pets, bring a picture or bring your open hearts. We will be worshipping outside for this special service where we honor our pets, the special roles they have in our lives and how they make us better humans. While we will have some chairs setup, we encourage you to bring your own chairs. Also, as this is an outdoor event, don't forget to bring water and a sunhat. No umbrellas please.

Characters on the Couch

Led by: Katie Resendiz
Worship Associate: Owen Lifshitz & Gio Palumbo
Music: Benjie Messer

There is nothing to be learned from children's television. Cookie monster, Elmo and their friends have no spiritual message for you, and going to counseling isn't useful at all for our younger generation. Join us as we share how the youth of UUCP can prove us wrong.

Do Ask, Do Tell

Led by: Rev. Christine Dance & Major Margie Witt
Worship Associate: John Palumbo
Music: LGBTQ anthems with UUCP Choir

Major Margaret Witt was responsible for bringing down the U.S. military's anti-gay "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy, and also happens to be a close friend of Rev. Christine's. Join us to hear how she found a new purpose in fighting against discrimination, and to think about the work we have left to do. Immediately following the service, we will have our Mid-Year Congregational Update.
