This is my final newsletter before sabbatical. It was so wonderful to have such a beautiful and meaningful send-off this past Sunday.
In preparation for the sabbatical, we had several discussions about what to do with this newsletter column. At first, we figured we would just suspend it for 5 months. Then, like many things with this sabbatical–and many things at UUCP–we thought, “maybe we could think about this more creatively.” We thought about what you all may enjoy and we know that what you often enjoy the most is hearing from each other.
So, starting next week, this column will adjust to “UUCP Voices,” where a different UUCP community member will share something about themselves and their journey with UUCP. I hope that you will find where your journeys overlap with others and have it open your mind and your heart.
I am so grateful to the many, many people who are working harder so that I may work less these next five months. Thank you for embracing this break with so much love and support. Thank you for the many ways that you have shown that you care about me, and thank you for understanding this important part of ministry. I am so excited to hear what you learn during this time.
