I’m Stephanie Breidel-Vigil, the Business Administrator at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix (UUCP). I’ve been at UUCP now for 5 years and it has been an incredible journey of connection, growth, and inspiration. UUCP feels like a second home to me, a place where justice and compassion are at the heart of everything we do. I love how this community brings people together across differences, creating a space where every voice is valued and celebrated.
In my role at UUCP, I get to wear many hats, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Whether I’m working on the budget, helping plan our next property project, or collaborating with our amazing volunteers and staff team, my work reflects my passion for fostering growth and connection. Each day brings something new, whether it’s fixing something, brainstorming fresh ideas, or supporting our members. It’s more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to help build the beloved community we all cherish.
When I’m not working, you’ll often find me by the ocean, my favorite place as a Cancer sign, soaking in the tranquility and inspiration it offers. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to concerts, sporting events, museums, road trips, and I have a huge love for a DIY project. I try to live with my love for curiosity and intention.
What I appreciate most about UUCP is how it weaves together love, action, and community. I’m so grateful to be part of a congregation where people show up for each other and the wider world with open hearts and a commitment to making a difference. My journey with UUCP continues to deepen my understanding of what it means to be a spiritual community and radically inclusive. I’m excited to see how our community will grow and thrive in the years to come.

Our regularly scheduled column, Notes From Your Dance Partner, will be on pause during Reverend Christine’s sabbatical. In its place, we’re excited to have a series of guest speakers who will be sharing their experiences at UUCP. NFYDP will return in August.
