Dear Beloved UUCP Community,
We started by needing $135,000 to close the gap. Thanks to those who have already contacted us, we are now down to approx. $85,000. That is still quite a gap. We need more of you to participate in this lift. Remember that this is a pledge. You have through June 30 of 2026 to fulfill your pledge.

The important part is “WHY?”
UUCP is all about Communal Care. The definition of that in this context is “a community who holds us accountable to whom we WANT to be.” That definition was on a recent national UUA Zoom call. Our leaders are telling us: “UUs need to be a stronger, louder voice for a progressive faith. We need to be proud of each other and our values and give them VOICE.”
We live our lives and express our values coming from Love at the center. When in this lifetime has that ever been more important? UUCP and all of you need to be here, now, to meet this moment. We stand on the shoulders of those who have come before. Who will be standing on our shoulders?
Long time congregants, past folks returning, and new people alike are all talking about this congregation’s good feeling and energy. People around the country look to UUCP, and especially our staff, to provide examples and assistance of how to move better through our experiences at this time. Our staff is even asked to collaborate with national organizations on programming. Everyone at UUCP benefits from their contributions both here inside our congregation, and through their larger involvement. Now is the time to support our staff by increasing your pledge.
We need to focus on the Love and Connection that we extend to each other. We have created a space to be imperfect, to learn, to grow, to be vulnerable and fail, and then to be helped up and invited back in without judgement or criticism. Here, all of US, together, offer GRACE to each other and those we hope to affect.
Is UUCP a vital part of your life? Are your friends and community here? Do you believe and support our shared values? Please consider us part of your monthly family budget, rather than a non-profit donation. Please do what you are able to support our value of generosity, our crucial programming, and our wonderful staff.
UUCP needs us now. We need each other. The wider community needs us. Our future generations need us. Please pledge NOW, this week, to give what you can in the year ahead. We are the family we’ve been waiting for.
